HOW CAN I TELL IF AN AIR CONDITIONER USES R-22 OR R-410A REFRIGERANT? APRIL.20TH,2018

You can find what type of refrigerant the system uses by examining the fine print on the manufacturer`s data plate, on the side of either the condenser (outside unit) or air handler (inside unit). Some manufacturers make it easier for you by putting a separate sticker on the condenser with the refrigerant spelled out in tall letters, like the one shown above we found on the side of a Tempstar condenser from 2013.

Carrier is another company that often attaches a big sticker announcing the use of their trademarked version of R-410A, called Puron, and they were the first to introduce the new refrigerant to the market in 1996. It was created as a replacement for the older R-22, which the EPA determined was detrimental to the earth`s atmosphere. The EPA has been gradually tightening of supplies of R-22 in the U.S., which will end with an outright ban on manufacture of new R-22 in 2020.

The data plate photos shown below, with the refrigerant type circled in red, should help you locate the info on your machine. R-22 will sometimes be alternately noted as HCFC-22 because it is a HydoChloroFluoroCarbon, and R-410A may appear as HFC-410A. The year your system was manufactured will also provide a clue: before 1996 will be R-22, 1996 through 2009 could be either one, and 2010 or later will likely be R-410A-because new systems were required to be only R-410A beginning January 1, 2010.

NEW EU REGULATIONS WILL BE USED TO PROMOTE THE APPLICATION OF NATURAL REFRIGERANTS

In the European Union, the new EU fluorine gas (F-Gas) act is not the only legal driving force to promote the use of natural refrigerants. As part of the EU's "Clean Energy for All Europeans" package, many measures to make carbonization in the field of refrigeration are soon to be adopted. These regulations will also have a great impact on product design and export in the future, just like the F-gas act, and we suggest that enterprises pay enough attention to them.

In November 30, 2016, the European Commission introduced a package of policies to support the EU's shift to clean energy, including the updating of the building energy efficiency directive (EPBD) and the energy efficiency directive (EED). The EPBD Directive requires that the European Union's construction stocks should be completely de carbonized by 2050. The EED directive recommends that the energy efficiency and efficiency will be increased by 30% by 2030.

Once these two instructions are adopted, it is expected that the types and specifications of refrigerating equipment installed on the market will be affected. Natural refrigerants as a highly efficient and energy-saving refrigerant have been widely accepted, so it is expected to benefit from the new version of EPBD directive and EED directive.

U.S. ANNOUNCED PLANS TO INCREASE TARIFF LIST APRIL.9TH,2018

According to a CCTV report, on the afternoon of April 3, US local time, the U.S. Trade Representative`s Office published on its website a list of products imported from China based on the so-called 301 investigation and proposed to impose tariffs. The list contains approximately 1300 items. An independent tariff project with a value of approximately US$50 billion relates to aerospace, information and communication technology, robotics, and machinery. The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative proposes to impose an additional 25% tariff on Chinese products on the list.

According to an official WeChat report of the People's Daily, most of the items on the list published by the U.S. Trade Representative Office do not directly target daily consumers. According to the timetable of the U.S. Trade Representative Office, this list will also undergo several hearings later. In an interview with the media, U.S. Trade Representative Lite Shizzle stated that he will give a 60-day window before China`s commodity tariffs come into effect and that no tariffs will be imposed until June of this year.

It is understood that this list includes a number of items related to household appliances, including those listed in Tax No. 84143040 for refrigeration equipment (including air conditioners) and compressors not exceeding 1/4 horsepower. They are listed in tariff number 84143080 for refrigeration. Equipment (including air conditioning), compressors exceeding 1/4 horsepower, and household dishwashers listed in tariff number 84221100.

According to the calculation data of the China Household Electrical Appliances Association`s Information Consultation Department, in 2017, China`s home appliance exports to the United States amounted to approximately US$14.4 billion, of which dishwasher exports amounted to US$116 million, accounting for 0.8% of US home appliance exports; Compressor export amount US$144 million, accounting for 1% of US home appliance exports.

Hu Xiaohong, senior advisor to the Information Consultation Department of the China Household Electrical Appliances Association, said that this list did not really affect the whole machine. She said that this result was "accepted" and had little impact on China's home appliance exports. After the US announced the list, relevant departments in China responded the first time. According to an official WeChat report of the People's Daily, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China issued a speech at the first time, stating that China strongly opposes and will adopt equal measures of the same magnitude and similar measures against American products in recent days.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lu Yong said: [The US approach has seriously violated the basic principles and spirit of the WTO, and China will immediately resort to the US side`s mistaken approach to the WTO dispute settlement mechanism. At the same time, we will follow the Foreign Trade of the People`s Republic of China. The relevant provisions of the Act are prepared to adopt equivalent measures on the United States and equal measures on the same scale. These measures will be announced in the near future. We are confident and capable of responding to any trade protectionist measures of the United States."

The Chinese Embassy in the United States also issued a statement: China will immediately appeal to the WTO dispute settlement mechanism. At the same time, according to China's relevant laws, the United States will adopt equal measures and equivalent measures on the United States.

OIL AND REFRIGERANTS

Mineral oil is the compressor lubricant used with CFCs and HCFCs. Due to the different properties of HFCs, mineral oil cannot be used as a lubricant for HFC systems. For example, the miscibility and solubility of HFC and mineral oil differ from those of mineral oil and CFCs or HCFCs. If HFCs and mineral oils were used together, both the oil return to the compressor and the heat transfer in the evaporator and condenser would be impaired.

To achieve an acceptable miscibility between the refrigerant and the lubricant, polyolester oils (POEs) are normally used with HFCs. Polyvinyl ethers are also being introduced in some applications. In automotive air conditioning systems, polyglycol (PAG) is used by most manufacturers, but some manufacturers recommend POE for retrofits. POEs are very hygroscopic, and will therefore absorb water if given the chance. If too much humidity enters the oil, there is a risk of acid formation, which could attack the components of the system. Polyolester oils used with the new refrigerant alternatives also seem to have a cleaning effect. This could lead to a possible problem in converted (retrofitted) systems. Deposits are dissolved and collect in the expansion valve, with consequent blocking of the refrigerant flow. Installing a proper and efficient filter drier in the liquid line can prevent both the humidity and the blocking problem.

When converting an existing system to HFCs, the mineral oil is removed and replaced by polyolester oil. If too much mineral oil is left in the system after converting, it may be deposited in the evaporator and impair the boiling heat transfer.

A refrigerant mixture consists of two or more components. The extent to which these dissolve in the compressor oil varies for the different components. In systems where the refrigerant charge is small in comparison to the oil volume, this difference in solubility may lead to problems. For example, if a mixture has a small percentage of one component that dissolves more readily in the oil than the other components, this will influence the physical properties and thereby the system performance.

HOW MUCH AIR CONDITIONING AND FLUORIDE PRESSURE AIR CONDITIONING AND FLUORIDE PRECAUTIONS

When we air-conditioning our summer book artifact, it can quickly produce cool air, reduce the indoor temperature, make our citrus more comfortable and cool. However, air-conditioning refrigeration can not be separated from refrigeration spy help, usually Freon is used. What should we do if we need to add new ones for air conditioners after they have used old refrigerants? Here we take a look at how much air conditioning and fluoride pressure and air conditioning and fluoride precautions.

Air conditioning and fluoride pressure

Air-conditioning refrigerants are generally no less. The speed of leakage of air-conditioning refrigerants often depends on the technical level of the installer and the welding quality of air-conditioning pipes. In general, if a properly installed air conditioner is installed, no fluoridation is required for at least 2-3 years, unless refrigerant leakage occurs during use or relocation. Regardless of the brand, size, and pressure of air-conditioning, the pressure of air-conditioning will not exceed six pressures. Under normal circumstances, five pressures will suffice.

Regarding the question of how much pressure is added to air-conditioning and fluoridation, in fact, air-conditioning and fluoridation are calculated according to pressure or according to how much air-conditioning is calculated by Taiwan. If you press Taiwan, there is a problem that some users would have only one pressure, two pressures, and the single maintenance personnel will be charged at the price of one, and the user will not be able to. However, if the pressure is calculated, the difference is a good one, it is a good choice for the user, and the user can see how much they need to add, how much to make up. The general market's fluoridation price is: 1p and 1.5p is a pressure of 40 yuan, 2p is a pressure of 50 yuan, 3p is a pressure of 60 yuan, 5p is a pressure of 70 yuan.

Air conditioning and fluoride precautions

1.open air conditioning;

When air is added in summer, the air conditioner can be directly operated in the cooling mode. Due to the fact that heating cannot be performed under the condition of heating, the method of heating and switching to the valve line should be used when fluoriding is applied during the winter to force the air conditioner into the cooling condition.

2. convergence of fluoridation equipment;

After the air conditioner is started normally, the fluoridation equipment is connected from the process port on the low pressure valve side of the outdoor unit. The air and dirt in the fluoridation tube must be removed during this process.

3.pressure measurement and fluoride;

In the summer, the low pressure was investigated. When the ambient temperature was about 32 degrees Celsius, the pressure was controlled at about 0.45 MP.

In the winter, the high-pressure pressure during heating is investigated, and the pressure is controlled to be about 1.7 MP.

4.remove the fluoridation equipment;

The fluoridation equipment will be removed from the production process and the outer sealer will be tightened. If the heating conditions are removed, a lot of Fluoride leakage will be formed.

5.the end of fluoride.

For air conditioners that are suspected of leaks, check with foaming foam.

After reading the above, I believe that everyone has a general understanding of how much air conditioning and fluoride pressure and air conditioning and fluoride precautions. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the price of fluoridation due to the difference in the price level of each place, and the actual situation shall prevail.
